We are a busy neuro-ophthalmology clinic seeking energetic, and motivated Foreign Medical Graduates to join our diverse and ambitious team! This position will be supporting the physician as a patient liason and working in office directly with patients to explain follow-up care. This is an excellent opportunity to get patient interaction and build upon existing skills, while working with other foreign trained physicians.
*This position does not practice medicine. This position is for patient follow-up care, testing and support for the physician.
The ideal candidate is required to have strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and the passion to deliver excellent Patient Care with a positive outlook.
Requirements:
- Must have foreign doctor medical training (license NOT required) or equivalent medical experience.
- Professional and strong work ethic
- Must support established office policies and HIPAA compliance
Patient Care Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist with patient transition throughout the office
- Meet with patients after the doctor's exam and discuss prescriptions and follow-up care
- Learn and be able to perform all ophthalmic testing done in office
- Contact patients as needed to inform them of instructions or information from the physician for follow-up care
- Other duties as assigned
- Work with the doctor on emergency cases
- Order testing or other necessary follow-up for the patients

- Adaptable to changing demands based on clinic needs.
- Previous Medical/Office experience providing patient care or working as a technician is preferred
- Willingness to work as early as 6:00 am M-F, if necessary.
- Knowledgeable about electronic medical records (EMR), preferably eClinicalWorks, but we will train you if you are not currently familiar with ECW.
LOCATIONS: You will follow the clinic; therefore, you must be available to work at both locations:
o Dallas near 1-35 and Regal Row (Tuesday - Thursday)
o Grand Prairie near Post and Paddock off Hwy 360 (Monday and Friday)
