We are seeking a creative and passionate Social Media and Content Creation Specialist to join our team and help amplify our message across various digital platforms.
Job Summary: The Social Media and Content Creation Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating compelling content that resonates with our audience, and driving engagement across all social media channels. This role requires a strong understanding of the environmental and education sectors, as well as the ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible and inspiring way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce high-quality, engaging content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and other digital platforms. This includes writing posts, creating graphics, and editing videos.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow our social media presence on platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Schedule and publish content, respond to comments and messages, and monitor engagement.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with organizational goals and campaigns.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content. Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Community Engagement: Foster a positive and active online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and partners. Identify opportunities for collaboration and user-generated content.
- Research and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, content marketing, and the environmental and education sectors. Apply this knowledge to improve content and strategy.
- SEO Optimization: Implement best practices for SEO to increase organic reach and visibility of our content.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Science, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation, preferably in the environmental or education sectors.
- Skills:
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
