We are under new ownership that are really cool with a very bright future! We are undergoing major remodeling of the Front Desk, Lobby, Guest Rooms and building a brand new Bar and Restaurant.

The primary purpose of the MTN Lodge Ridgway - Front Desk Associate is to ensure that hotel guests & customers have an excellent experience during their visit. Job duties involve; greeting guests, processing check-ins and check-outs professionally, issuing room keys, answering questions, anticipating guest needs, and addressing guest requests along with serving food and beverages from the Basecamp Café with professional hospitality and enthusiasm. You will use these tools to grow sales and increase profits while you grow and develop both personally and professionally.
This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them.
The Front Desk / Basecamp Café Associate will lead with local spirit while engaging in maintaining a professional environment that supports outstanding guest experiences, and overall company vision.
Responsibilities
- Check-in and check-out guests in a professional manner.
- Respond and follow-up to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Use the Property Management System to enter new reservations, check-in/check-out guests, charge guests for additional services and purchases, and issue guest credit appropriately.
- Serve guests at the Basecamp Café when needed.
- Follow-up and help with guest communications in a timely manner.
- Assist lodge management with customer communications as requested;
- Communicate and share important hotel/guest/service information with the team.
- Answer phone and email inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration, availability, shopping, dining, travel directions, etc. in a timely manner;
- Handle and accurately reconcile cash, credit card, and direct bill transactions and process guest accounts and Star Saloon purchases;
- Use the POS appropriately and accurately.
- Ensure proper disinfecting/sanitization/cleaning of all indoor/outdoor hotel public areas including the lobby, bathrooms and guest laundry areas;
- Print and distribute Daily Housekeeping Reports, ensure the room status in the PMS is up to date, accurate and tracked correctly;
- Assist in housekeeping and laundry when needed.
- Arrange for sending and receiving of packages;
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications; and
- Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing along with all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
- Provides leadership and direction to maintain and improve the guest experience within operations, consistent with the company’s service standards.
- Registering guests, making reservations, daily housekeeping audits, balancing transactions, and conducting walks of the property through inspection.
- Maintain appropriate supplies inventory; manage vendor relationships accordingly.
- Adhere to and enforce flawless cash handling, payment processing and inventory procedures.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies re: code of conduct, attendance, uniform, and appearance, etc.
