Authorization/Precert Coordinator MUST BE EXPERIENCED!
Busy Orthopedic practice seeking an authorization/precert coordinator. Successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience in the medical billing process specifically, precertification and authorizations.
Main Duties:
- Obtain authorizations and referrals
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
- Communicate with patients to set up and schedule optimal appointment times and inform them of financial responsibility
- Inquire and process patients’ health insurance benefits for procedures and injections
- Support office with administrative and secretarial tasks
- Communicate with internal office team and providers to ensure patients are helped and everyday tasks are accomplished
- Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations
- Ability to answer the telephone, take detailed messages, respond to verbal inquiries, take direction from different sources, handle multiple tasks and be organized in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a very competitive salary and benefit package. Hours are M-Th 8—5 and Friday 8-2:30.

Pay: $18.75 - $22.00 per hour
