Job Description
Direct Conveyors Product Design Engineer applies theories and principles to both simple and complex conveyor designs, product characteristics and documentation necessary to produce concept and approval models for our customers. Generate models, assembly prints and bill of materials for manufacturing. Design and/or re-design new and existing components to achieve the desired conveyor solution.
Produce cost effective designs, complex layouts, assemblies, detail parts drawings and generate associated bills of materials. Maintain and improve conveyor type working parts library for a smooth model generation. Work closely with sales personnel to ensure the conveyor's design will meet the customers’ expectations.

- Mechanical Engineering, with technical working experience
- 3 years component and assembly design experience
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks a must
- Very Detail oriented
- Work independently, to lead times and deadlines.
- Component design experience, working knowledge of Solid Works a must. Manufacturing design experience a must. Custom design experience preferred. A desire to work for a smaller company, become a product specialist to make a difference in the growth of the company and be appreciated for your contributions.
General Duties and Responsibilities :
Communicate with sales on concepts models and after purchase produces detailed prints for conveyor manufacturing.
Produce approval models and drawings for customer review.
Produce main and sub-assembly drawings for assembly.
Communicate with assembly for updates and changes.
Maintain drawing release integrity and standards documentation.
Get along well with others from all aspects of design and manufacturing.
Ability to work independently as well as take direction on policies and procedures.
Update job progression through the engineering process.
Up to date computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
