Technical Business Analyst Summary: This position supports VGM's HOMELINK division by compiling, formatting, and reporting information through collaboration with business units then utilizing that information for system optimization and development. You will act as a liaison to gather information, document processes, confirm finalized materials, and help to implement solutions with end users and the project management and development teams.
Our ideal candidate has proven experience working with technical software development teams and cross-functional business units. In this role, you must have the ability to elicit, analyze, specify and validate the business needs of stakeholders while also being the key interface between users and the technical project team. Being an excellent communicator with an attention to detail, keen organization, and time management skills is key. SQL, Adobe XD, or Figma skills are strongly preferred.
Technical Business / Software Analyst Responsibilities:

Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements and identify areas for improvement in business operations and processes

Assist with the design, modification and implementation of business systems or solutions and monitor performance

Gather, document and analyze business processes, needs, and requirements to update procedures and implement solutions

Solve business problems and, as needed, designs technical solutions to optimize strategies

Lead meetings and presentations to review business processes, develop optimization strategies, and share ideas or findings

Document functional and technical solutions and produce useful reports
-
Collaborate with system architects and developers to ensure systems are properly implemented

Facilitate use case test scenarios with subject matter experts and perform requirements analysis

Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements

Ensure timely completion of projects through project management and planning
-
Create test plans for system testing and facilitates User Acceptance testing

Create documentation and train the training team

Follow strict confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security guidelines

Continuously seek educational opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest processes and IT advancements for automating and modernizing systems or processes

Key Qualifications of Technical Business / Software Analyst:

Proven experience in a business analyst or technical analyst position
-
Experience working collaboratively with a technical team of software developers

Experience with Adobe XD and/or Figma strongly preferred

SQL experience preferred

Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Snagit, and/or Snagit Editor preferred

Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Exemplary organization, prioritization and time management skills

Ancillary Healthcare, Home Medical Equipment, and/or Workers’ Compensation Industry experience a plus
Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, MIS, Computer Science or related field is preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with data and development in a project setting is preferred
