Argosy Cruises is a local tour company based at Pier 55 in downtown Seattle. At Argosy, we conduct daily tours of Elliott Bay and the Ballard Locks to Lake Union, as well as charters for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and more.
We are looking for a full-time Senior Marine Technician who has proven skills in mechanical thinking, solving problems, and task management for the upkeep and repairs of Argosy vessels and facilities. Needs to be a self-starter that shows up to work and understands customer service. While many assignments are carried out individually Marine Technicians work as a team and collaborate to meet productivity goals and keep the fleet and facilities operating safely and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for projects assigned from start to finish
- Responsible for assessing shop duties board, personal duty list, and engineering channel daily.
- Prioritizes duty list by reviewing the Vessel Schedule via Fareharbor for time frames to complete tasks.
- Assists in maintaining, repairing, modifying engines, generators, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, bar equipment, docks, restrooms/sanitation systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, office machines, and other equipment/facilities as assigned.

Responsible for troubleshooting and assessing mechanical problems for issues on board the boats and facilities.
- Responsible for adhering to all Argosy and OSHA/WISHA safety knowledge, practice and procedures by reading and updating self of Maintenance Safety Manual.

Responsible for assessing conditions and damage to fleet and facilities and reporting issues to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay Range:
$32-$40 per hour, DOE

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED

Ability to speak, read, and write in clear English – communicate with others using English

Ability to competently perform basic math functions
- 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical repair or engine maintenance

3-5 years’ experience in construction, building maintenance, shipyard maintenance or plumbing
-
A current TWIC (Transportation Worker’s Identity Credential) card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
-
Pass a pre-employment drug test, and random drug tests throughout the year.

Pass a post-offer background check
