We are seeking a Dog Lover who can learn what we do and do it well! Our ideal candidate; has previous experience in an animal related setting; resides local to Abington; LOVES dogs; is an outgoing & confident multi-tasker; thinks quick on his/her feet & can work independently and as a team; maintains extreme attention to detail & is very comfortable with dogs & their behaviors.
We work with groups of dogs of all sizes and personalities, all being dog friendly & people friendly. It is our responsibility to be focused on all of the happenings within our play yards; i.e..supervising play, interrupting poor behavior & redirecting; recognizing a shy pup & helping he/she feel like part of the pack, etc., as well, maintaining sanitary conditions outdoors & within the kennel. Our job is to be sure dog daycare is enjoyed by all within a safe, sanitary and structured environment.
Yes, working with animals is FUN, but it is also plenty of work to keep one step ahead of a group of energetic pups! Having a confident knowledge of dog behavior and body language is key for this position.
In this role you will learn all aspects of our daily operations: supervising a play yard, meal preparation, administrative procedures, greeting our pup parents at drop off & pickup; cleaning protocols, etc.
