The job of Teacher - Career & Technical Education is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a career and/or technical skills teacher with specific responsibility for instruction that prepares students to enter the workforce and/or purse continuing education; providing opportunities for authentic outcomes; supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified by the State of Alabama or verification of 7 years full-time work in the area or completion of regionally accredited postsecondary certificate/diploma program and 5 years of full-time work experience or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited senior institution and one year of full-time experience, associates degree with three years of experience. Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations. Must be able to pass NCCER exam.
