Irrigation Technician Role Description:
Carson McElheney Landscape Architecture is looking for a reliable and experienced irrigation technician to service our client’s irrigation equipment. You will be responsible for auditing and repairing existing components of our client’s and facilities irrigation systems. You will be responsible for seasonal start-ups and winterization of irrigation systems. You will occasionally be asked to assist with new installations when appropriate.
Eligible candidates must exhibit a strong work ethic and have detailed knowledge of irrigation techniques.
Irrigation Technician Responsibilities:
- Maintaining inventory of commonly used items.
- Driving to the client’s location.
- Testing the soil and system to determine irrigation needs.
- Recognizing and addressing potential areas of improvement.
- Troubleshooting and repairing or replacing components of irrigation systems including valves, heads, emitters, lines, clocks, solenoids.
- Conducting routine maintenance checks.
- Conducting spring start-ups and winter shut offs.
- Completing daily task sheets.
Irrigation Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to efficiently work independently.
- Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician.
- Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Recognition of high-end landscapes and the details that go with them.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
