SUMMARY
The Automation Engineering Technician will trouble shoot, assemble, repair, and maintain robotic cells as required to support shop production for the machining and assembly floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned*

- Support automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs.
- Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models to assemble parts together.
- Install and trouble shoot electrical, pnuematic, and hydraulic components.
- Robotic systems - create new and modify existing programs.
- Vision systems - create new, modify existing programs and make adjustments to lighting and cameras.
- Automation systems - trouble shoot/modify programmable logic controller programs.
- Human Machine Interface systems - trouble shoot/modify (HMI) programs.
- Fit and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms.
- Examine and make improvements to end of arm tooling.
- Create and perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment uptime
- Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality Assurance and Engineering to resolve production issues.
- Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into the process of building and repairing tooling.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with one year of experience; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Monday- Friday
