Faith Chapel Learning Academy is seeking an exceptional person who has a great passion for educating young children. We are currently hiring Teachers for our 2-year-old classroom. The right person will be excited about joining our preschool team and being part of a true work of God that is underway here at Faith Chapel.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and nurture children by planning and implementing a developmental and educational program where children feel safe.
- Stimulate emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social growth of students by developing and directing educational programs and activities tailored to your assigned class.
- Provide safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classroom; eliminating or removing known safety hazards; following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal recommendations.
- Encourage students' participation by providing interactive activities.
- Inform staff and parents of curriculum by preparing and submitting lesson plans, posting schedules and curriculum outlines.
- Keep parents informed of child's progress as well as any concerns that may arise through report cards and meetings; maintain and share records of child's progress and behavior.
- Encourage development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.
- Ensure consistency of service by maintaining open communications with parents and staff. Maintain equipment and supplies following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns and inventorying supplies.
- Keep current by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance the reputation of the school and church by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Must have at least 12-semester units in early childhood education from an accredited college or university. The units specified must cover Child Growth and Development, Child-Family and Community, Program-Curriculum, and Infant Toddler.
- Experience: At least 6 months of previous early childhood teaching experience required.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, Fluent in English.
- Must have a current or provide recent TB test results
- Fingerprint Clearance required.
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
