Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) have experience in family law and possess knowledge of legal administrative procedures. Please do not apply if you do not have the requisite experience. The chosen candidate will have experience with divorces, custody and visitation, and restraining orders.
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to family law cases
- Manage and organize case files, including documentation and evidence
- Conduct legal research on family law matters
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals involved in cases
Experience:
- Familiarity with Tribal law regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in document management systems such as Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to efficiently file and retrieve legal documents
- Experience with project management within a legal setting
- Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures
- Legal administrative experience preferred
