Overview:
The Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board (CAB) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in park, landscape, and trail maintenance and facilities maintenance and has a proven track record of providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up trash (builder-related and other)
- Post-storm clean-up as needed
- Track and maintain responsibilities for trash pickup (take pictures and gather other proof)
- Prepare documentation for billing to builders and other responsible parties
- Clean out inlets and outlets in CAB-owned open spaces
- Remove snow using a UTV and other snow removal equipment
- Assist Facility Maintenance Manager in performing semi-skilled duties i.e. graffiti removal, painting, excavation, framing, carpentry and park maintenance, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Collect utility and other data as needed (i.e., irrigation meters, etc.)
- Clean sidewalks and trails
- Perform minor facility and common area repairs as needed
- Regularly inspect grounds, facilities, and playgrounds to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements and report issues to the supervisor
- Perform tasks related to landscape, irrigation, and open space maintenance
- Implement trail rehabilitation, erosion control, restoration, and reclamation projects for the common areas

- Attention to detail required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience with maintenance environments, including minor repair work, inspections, landscape maintenance, park maintenance, and related fields
Skills:
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to obtain vehicle insurance
- Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of tools, motorized equipment, vehicles, and trailers
- Ability to work independently and use independent judgment
- Must exhibit good listening and comprehension skills, and use appropriate communication methods
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and deal with complex situations, maintain objectivity, and actively seek positive outcomes
- Recognize and respond appropriately to issues and change
- Knowledge of safe work practices in public work sites
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE
