A successful Recruiter will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and adapt to frequent pivots while prioritizing current hiring needs. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like job boards and internal and external referrals. Our ideal recruiter holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our company attracts and hires the best employees, while growing a strong candidate pipeline.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in the commercial landscape industry
Specialized Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System or HRIS system preferred
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to build a strong rapport with candidates and hiring managers in a short amount of time
- Problem-solving aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pivot often and adapt to new and everchanging recruitment needs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Work closely with HR and Operations to understand hiring needs
- Use Applicant Tracking System to manage candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Daily use of Excel spreadsheets: Candidate Tracker, Recruitment Details by Branch, Hiring Incentives, Recruiter Productivity
- Assist with job board sponsorships, social media campaigns, and ATS job postings
- Parse resumes into Applicant Tracking System
- Source and recruit passive candidates for hard to fill roles
- Screen candidate resumes and applications
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Conduct candidate phone screens and provide feedback to hiring managers
- Coordinate interviews using integrated ATS & Outlook Scheduling Assistant to filter candidates within schedule
- Provide well documented recruiting reports
- Act as point of contact and build influential candidate relationships
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with Hiring Managers
- Promote company hiring incentives and referral bonuses to candidates
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers and Recruitment team in talent acquisition strategy
