CT Assistant
Summary:
-
Transports patients.
- Prepares patient for transport by checking with ER staff for patient monitoring needs.

Delivers handoff communication to CT staff.
- Assists patient to CT exam table and secures them for safety.
- Transfers O2, monitor and other vital sign monitors or devices for CT scan.
- Returns patient to ER or to x-ray for additional test(s).
- Provides hand off communication to the next caregiver in ER.
- Assists with other departmental needs as assigned.
- Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Prior patient care experience preferred. Two to four weeks on the job training required.
Additional Skills / Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills required. Must be task orientated and have excellent organizational skills.
