New Hope of Indiana is seeking a Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant to join our growing team. Work schedule is general business hours; however, occasional flexibility is required to accommodate evening or weekend hours.
What we’re looking for – Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:
You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in someone’s life through meaningful employment. You will work with individuals referred through the State of Indiana Vocational Services. Those referred have a wide range of differing abilities. You will spend time getting to know the person and their employment interests. You will find job opportunities that match those interests, assist in their application, and, upon hire, assist in on-the-job training.
What your day to day looks like – Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:
- Observe and document the individual’s vocational interests and needs, including natural supports
- Develop appropriate employment opportunities in the community. Identify and develop job sites in the community based on individual needs, abilities, goals, and preferences
- Ensure continuity of care and accessibility to meet the comprehensive needs of individuals
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with employers to build natural supports for the in the work setting
- Collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation offices and counselors to meet the needs of the individual
- Provide onsite job coaching and extended services as needed
- Maintain all consumer files and HIPAA compliance for privacy while ensuring best practices
- Attend quarterly and annual meetings for individuals served
- Build relationships and community connections to further enhance and expand job opportunities
What you bring to the table - Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Indiana Driver's License with six (6) points or less
- Current auto insurance
- Willing to use personal vehicle as needed to transport individuals
