Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) maintains and grows relationships with customers for day-to-day order entry, freight coordination, and question and complaint resolution. The CSR supports sales initiatives to grow and maintain account service levels.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establishes productive and professional relationships with key buyers at accounts.
· Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
· Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
· Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
· Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
· Assists in order entry, freight coordination, invoicing, and purchasing needs for account requirements.
· May serve on cross-functional team and assist with purchasing duties including daily purchasing, scheduling, and logistical activities.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficiency in companies operating software, MS-Word and MS-Excel. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Exposure to ERP preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Adaptability and willingness to learn.
· Problem solving skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
