Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any damage. - Use and knowledge of Bondo, spackle, and caulking
- Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
- Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns to apply coats of paint or other finishes
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect them from paint
- Clean up work areas and remove hazardous materials after completing the job
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience:
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Knowledge of power tools used in painting, such as sanders, sprayers, and drivers
- Experience in restoring surfaces and applying various types of coatings
- Construction estimating skills to accurately assess project requirements
- Ability to weld or perform basic masonry work is a plus
-Basic Carpentry skill is a plus. - Proficiency in caulking and sealing surfaces before painting
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques
- Ability to maintain painting equipment and troubleshoot issues
- Maintenance Person skills for minor repairs and surface preparation
