Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage operation, ensuring exceptional quality and service to our guests. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of our restaurant and kitchen, including food production, inventory control, and shift management.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the tastes of our guests, ensuring that they are always satisfied with their dining experience.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food production standards.
- Conduct regular interviews to hire new staff members and ensure that they meet the necessary standards for our restaurant.
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about our menu offerings and can provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage kitchen equipment and ensure that it is properly maintained.
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including fine dining, buffet services, and special events.
- Collaborate with the hotel team to ensure seamless service and a high-quality guest experience.
- Manage the restaurant's budget, ensuring that costs are kept under control while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager in a hotel or fine dining restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, production, and presentation.
- Experience in restaurant management, including shift management, inventory control, and kitchen management.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in interviewing and hiring new staff members.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
