We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Buyer / Planner to join our dynamic team and help us achieve our growth objectives.
Position Summary:
The Senior Buyer / Planner will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including forecasting, replenishment planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong cadence of inventory review by SKU and experience with item rationalization to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. Additionally, this role will involve significant planning responsibilities to align procurement with production schedules and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular forecasting and replenishment planning to meet demand, minimize stockouts, and optimize inventory levels.
- Perform SKU-level analysis to maintain optimal stock levels, streamline the product portfolio, and eliminate redundant or obsolete items.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensure quality standards, and monitor supplier performance for reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and cost savings to senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and production schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing and delivery of materials and products.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or planning role, preferably in a senior capacity.
- Proven experience in forecasting, replenishment planning, and demand forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices, including SKU-level analysis and item rationalization.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
