In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry data, providing direct patient care, and supporting our medical team in delivering top-notch cardiovascular services. This position requires flexibility, as you will be assigned to a different clinic each day.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data and respond to abnormalities promptly.
- Assist in preparing patients for cardiac procedures and examinations.
- Place, remove, and clean heart monitors for patients.
- Download reports from the monitor system and upload them into our EHR.
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and other diagnostic tests as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Provide compassionate and efficient patient care.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with various clinical tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in telemetry monitoring is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Valid California Driver License
