Data Analyst – Predictive Modeling
Responsibility:
- Build and enhance statistical and predictive models for risk-based quantitative analysis.
- Applies scientific, data mining, and statistical theory and methods to test hypotheses using structured and unstructured data.
- Partner with a cross-functional team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers to deliver projects.
- Develops proofs of concept or demonstrations to evaluate feasibility of project solutions and recommends visualization strategies.
- Develop communication strategies of concepts and results for multiple levels of management and technical expertise.
- Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
- Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
- Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of mathematics’ principles and concepts, and familiarity with other scientific and engineering disciplines to carry out complex statistical analysis processes.
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of database design, data mining, and data modeling concepts.
- Proven ability to develop effective data visualizations strategies.
- Advanced verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills to communicate clearly and concisely technical and non-technical information to all levels of management.
Desired:
- Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related field.
- Advanced skills with SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebook/Jupyter Lab, Visual Studio Code or other languages/frameworks appropriate for statistical analysis.
- Experience working with data visualization applications like PowerBI and Plotly.
- Experience working with Agile principals utilizing Azure DevOps or similar systems.
- Experience working with Cybersecurity Frameworks and related data.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60.33 - $65.00 per hour
