Some companies are in the Business of Technology.
Others are in the Business of Finance…Or Sports…Or Soft Drinks.
At EF, we’re in a different kind of business.
One that’s a little less tangible, and a lot more important.
Because our business, what we make, makes everything else possible.
We’re in the Business of Understanding.
Between people. Between cultures.
About the role:
As our Social Media and Content Manager, you will create strategy-driven, engaging content for our social channels for one of our travel entities, EF World Journeys. In this unique role, you’ll get to flex your strengths in writing, ideation, video production and more.

-
Produce shareable and engaging social-first videos that drive travel intent
-
Leverage advanced writing skills to craft copy, text overlay, hooks and captions on content that engages viewers
-
Handle day-to-day content publishing, deliverables, and edits
-
Stay ahead of the curve on cultural trends and ideate reactive content opportunities
-
Leverage insights from the market development, marketing and sales teams to pivot content strategy as needed
-
Source UGC from our community of travelers, influencers, partners, Tour Directors and staff members to build out assets
-
Engage our community – be the voice of our brand
Who you are:
You're creative at heart and a strategist by nature. You’re on top of what’s happening in culture, detail-oriented, and comfortable in front of and behind the camera. You love coming up with innovative ideas and transforming brand objectives into authentic content that appeals to our core audience.
Still, you understand data and insights and use them to help make decisions. You can think long-term and plan ahead, while also being flexible and ready for spur-of-the-moment content opportunities.
You know how to communicate ideas to teams that aren’t as familiar with social media and collaborate with them effectively.
What you bring to the table:
-
3-5 years of creative social production for a B2C company
-
A love and passion for travel, especially the active kind
-
An innovative mindset and enthusiastic attitude about all things social and content
-
Knowledge and understanding of a wide range social channels and the roles they play in the lives of our audience
-
Experience using social publishing platforms
-
Proven excellence in storytelling
-
A mastery of video production with a knowledge of how to cut something differently per platform
-
Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills (and the ability to adapt to a brand tone of voice)
-
Strong knowledge of the type of content that drives engagement and action on social media channels
-
An outgoing, creative, passionate, and approachable human with a desire to try new things
-
A comfortability on camera
-
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
-
A willingness to take thoughtful risks for the sake of creating unique content
-
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills—proven ability to work under tight deadlines and keep up with the always-on churn of social media activity
-
Importantly, you are an experienced collaborator.

About EF Education First:
Yes, we’re a large global company of 55,000 employees in 115 countries, but we act with the nimbleness and agility of a much smaller organization. Founded and run by the same family since 1965. We’re always on the lookout for people with drive, creativity, empathy and what we like to call ‘fingerspitzengefuhl’ (German for ‘keeping ones finger on the pulse’), to help us continue our journey; to transform lives, and yes, make the world a better place. Is that you? Then step into a larger world and apply for the roles that will excite you and challenge you in new ways.
