Jackson Walnut Park School is an early childhood and primary school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Located in an historic neighborhood in Newton, JWP features an authentic Montessori early childhood program and a K-6 independent school in the Catholic tradition. The school offers a rich, discovery-based curriculum, with signature programs that include STEAM education at all grades, a language arts program that incorporates principles from Lucy Calkins’ Reading and Writing Project, and foundations in three languages by sixth grade: Spanish, Mandarin and Latin. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Admissions, Advancement & Events Coordinator to begin this summer for the 2024 - 2025 school year. They work closely with the Directors of Admission and Advancement to support the work of their offices in support of the school’s mission and values, the success and growth of the Admissions, Enrollment Management, and Advancement functions of the school.
Responsibilities:
Admissions & Enrollment Management
- Database Management: Maintain and update the Ravenna and FACTS platforms for prospective and current families.
- Forms & Reports: Manage forms and documentation; prepare and deliver various reports on admissions and enrollment.
- Public Information: Keep the school's information current on the website, social media, and other platforms.
Advancement
- Database Management: Manage the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring data accuracy for all constituencies.
- Acknowledgment Letters: Create and send timely gift acknowledgment letters.
- Reports: Prepare and deliver regular reports on advancement activities.
- Annual Report: Draft the School’s Annual Report.
Events
- Event Support: Assist in planning and executing events like Open Houses, student visit days, and community events.
- Tasks: Develop distribution lists, send invitations, assemble gifts, set up and break down event spaces, and follow up after events.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Must have at least two years of experience in a similar role/setting; experience in a school setting is a plus
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to meet required set deadlines
· Strong organizing and multitasking skills
· Familiar with Ravenna, FACTS, Raiser’s Edge, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Schedule: Monday- Friday
9 am-5 pm & Occasional evenings and weekends
