Director of Events & Hospitality Services

As the Director of Events & Hospitality Services at Ligonier Ministries, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all events and hospitality services align with our mission to reach as many people as possible with the message of God's holiness. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Outreach, you will lead a dedicated team and oversee the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of various events, including conferences, tours, and cruises.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Events and Hospitality Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies for event forecasting, planning, budgeting, marketing, and execution.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of events and hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Process Design: Establish planning standards, policies, and best practices for efficient event management.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage event budgets in alignment with objectives.
- Vendor and Venue Management: Build and manage relationships with vendors, venues, and contractors.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with department leaders to align event strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Commitment to Ligonier's core values and statement of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in event planning or equivalent coordination roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
