We have a Maintenance Technician/Supervisor opening for West Michigan area apartment building locations ranging between Grand Rapids & Muskegon.

Responsibilities for this role (position may include all or some of the duties listed below. Some duties may not be listed)
· Assists the Maintenance team to maintain the physical condition and appearance of the facility to maintain and enhance the value of the property. Site locations may range between the Grand Rapids and Muskegon areas.
· Maintain and upkeep grounds, mechanicals.
· Communicates and operates in accordance with the company policies and safety standards.
· Adheres to scheduled maintenance work, ground control, unit turns, and project work.
· Complete and follow up on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
· Fosters a positive, active, and collaborative relationship with residents, staff, and management.
· Four-week on-call rotation. Per our on-call policy, while on-call, staff is required to remain within 60 minutes of the site location and respond via telephone to an after-hours call within 30 minutes of receipt of the same.
· Occasional evening and Saturday hours required.
- Little to no snow removal is required as the bulk is contracted out.
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician
· High school diploma or equivalent GED.
· Must be able to pass a background check (no violent felonies).
· Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
· Experience in multi-family or commercial maintenance preferred.
· Certified Maintenance Technician preferred.
· Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building trades.
· Clean, presentable and friendly around residents and prospective residents.
· Ability to work independently without supervision or in groups.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and transport appliances, climb a ladder, work with arms above head, stand for extended periods, bend at waist and be generally able in every way.
· Experience with Yardi or other property management software preferred.
Benefits/Compensation
- Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc after 90-days
- Pay: hourly + $100/week during on-call rotation + bonus structure
- Schedule: 8:30 am - 5 pm or 8 am - 4:30 pm (TBD) w/ 30 minute lunch
- Other: 144 hrs PTO after 90 days
