Job Overview:
We are currently looking for a dedicated Division Controller to join our team. The controller will handle high-level accounting and managerial accounting and oversee the financial activities of the company’s divisions. The division controller will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting, from reconciliation to tax compliance. The position will report to the chief financial officer and assist with developing internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, coordinating, and directing all company accounting operations and processes
- Preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with existing formats, GAAP
- Managing consistent month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Coordinating external audit process and ensuring all documentation is accurately represented for auditing
- Overseeing and managing the regulatory reporting, including tax preparation and compliance
- Ensuring corporate tax filings and other filing requirements are prepared accurately and filed on time. Implementing necessary checks and validation
- Evaluating and monitoring control systems and evaluating the effectiveness of the company's accounting software and financial database
- Analyzing accounting operations, making financial recommendations for improvement, and implementing new strategies and processes
- Assist in finance and accounting projects
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

- Ability to work independently and assist other functions with additional projects
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work with accounting software
Education/Training:
- BA in Accounting or Finance or Related Field
- CPA, Public accounting, and/or audit experience preferred
- Experience as a controller or in similar progressive financial leadership roles
- Logistics and transportation experience preferred
