Under general supervision, assembles product line using accepted assembly procedures.
Assembly:
Assemble components and subassemblies into complete product.
Verify dimensions and make adjustments during the assembly process.
Disassemble, rework and touch-up paint as required.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. This includes tools, consumables, machines, clean work spaces, etc.
Verify builds by conducting final bench tests for product integrity, and functionality.
Perform all visual inspections of pieces and finished product.
Set up and operate all assembly tools, hand and power tools, and testing and measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
Candidate will heavily rely on the use of decimals, fractions, and basic geometry, to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers to properly build product.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to use both hand and power tools.
Knowledge of proper bearing and seal installation is a plus.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Must be able to properly read a tape measure, scales, micrometer, angle finder, etc.
Candidate must possess basic math skills.
Must show ability to troubleshoot and, or problem solve.
Ability to drive and operate a truck with a 20 foot gooseneck trailer.
Should have strong documentation skills.
Will need to prioritize incoming work to maintain production delivery schedule.
Education and Experience:
Technical or trade school preferred, high school diploma acceptable.
Minimum 3-5 year assembly experience in a assembly and or test environment.
Experience in a prior job where troubleshooting was necessary to fulfill daily tasks.
Requires the ability to skillfully plan and organize tasks.
Must have basic mechanical skills: Be able to use intermediate hand tools, understand and read a blueprint.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, turn, bend, squat, climb, reach below knees, and reach above shoulders on a continuously.
Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.
Frequently required to lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
