As we continue to scale, we are seeking a talented Claims Analyst to join our team.
A career as a Claims Analyst in Casualty and Environmental Liability Claims will expose you to litigation and emerging environmental issues that are front and center in the world today.
We will teach you about casualty and environmental law, regulation, insurance contracts and claims. The work is interesting, fast moving and collaborative. We operate in a paperless environment and work fully remote.
Your Impact:

Complete accurate and timely coverage, liability, damage investigations, analysis and evaluations on complex casualty and environmental claims generated under our full suite of environmental insurance Products (combined casualty, casualty pollution and site pollution, monoline site pollution and contractor’s pollution and professional, as well as follow form excess).

Make coverage determinations and draft and communicate written positions to insureds and other required parties

Investigate, analyze, evaluate, document, manage, report and execute appropriate strategies to bring early and cost-effective resolution to assigned claims. Set and manage reserves and proactively managing litigation and counsel, inclusive of litigation planning and execution, budgeting and bill review and payment

Represent the company at meetings with management and carriers and at mediation and trial.
Successful Candidate Will Have:

BA/BS College Degree required.
-
3 to 5 years related work experience, preferably handling liability and/or clean-up claims, or working in a legal position. Complex auto liability experience a plus.

Excellent verbal and writing skills and solid coverage analysis and drafting experience.

An aptitude for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating technical, legal and medical information.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers, including insureds, underwriters, counsel and carriers.

Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team and must demonstrate a high level of initiative. Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
If you are not already licensed as an adjuster, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and additional state licensures where required across the United States.
Training:
Training will be provided in a combination of online and on-the-job training with daily one on one coaching and discussions. The training will involve a wide range of knowledge and skill development, including:

Cultivating relationships internally and externally

Developing the ability to analyze claims and coverage from inception through trial/resolution

Developing an understanding of the legal and environmental regulatory system

Knowledge of policy forms and appropriately determine coverage

Investigation, negotiation and resolution of claims and suits and proper documentation thereof.
At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $64,800- $70,000 + bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
