GENERAL SUMMARY: The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all four cottages and reporting any safety issues and or hazards to the Cottage Manager. The ideal candidate is efficient, reliable and detail oriented. Tasks include but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing of each cottage, vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash cans, dusting, cleaning windows & bathroom, & mopping floors. Changing out towels, linens, duvet covers, making beds, and replenishing necessary items in each cottage are all a part of the housekeepers’ duties as well as assisting the guest when necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Responsible & Reliable: A housekeeper’s job entails hard work, must be honest and trustworthy.

- Flexible schedule, especially during busy seasons
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
- Ability to remain calm, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle guest requests and needs in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Can stand for long periods of time. (majority of shift)
- Can bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and walk safely.
- Can safely adhere to sanitation/safety protocol at all times.
- Able to lift 30+ pounds carefully without injuring yourself.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates and fosters a positive environment at all times
- Operates with safety and sanitation in mind at all times
- Replenishes toilet paper, paper towel and other toiletries or amenities.
- Empties and cleans trash cans and replaces liners.
- Washes dishes, utensils, kitchen gadgets and appliances.
- Report any maintenance issues, including changing out lightbulbs, and enter any issues into Meister Task for Maintenace personnel to take care of.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or guests of the cottage in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all tasks are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
- Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
