Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and quantity of baked goods
- Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer requests
- Package finished products for sale or catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and timely completion of orders
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and cake decorating
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adjust quantities as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating recipe conversions
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy trays or equipment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
