Job Title: Senior Program Manager
Organization Description: We are a trauma-informed youth development organization dedicated to nurturing the self-efficacy of young individuals across six rural communities: Tulelake, Newell, Butte Valley, Macdoel, CA, and Merrill, Malin, OR. With a mission to empower youth through comprehensive health education, our programs encompass mental health, leadership development, nutrition, and fitness.
Position Overview: Join our team as a Senior Sports Program Manager and play a pivotal role in our organization''s growth and impact. This position is ideal for someone passionate about youth development and community engagement, with a focus on sports and holistic health.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the daily implementation of youth enrichment programs, focusing on Youth & Adult Sports and Butte Valley-based initiatives.

Ensure program goals are met and maintain effective communication with staff, students, and stakeholders.

Foster a sense of connection and accountability among students and staff, promoting our core values of love, safety, empowerment, courage, and service.

Lead and coordinate sports specialties, adult sports leagues, summer camps, and community engagement events.

Spearhead TMS mini-fundraisers and annual fundraisers, expanding program reach into diverse communities.

Supervise and mentor the Senior Coordinator for Middle School youth, ensuring program success and participant engagement.

Develop and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders including schools, city officials, nonprofits, and families to support program sustainability and growth.

Oversee budget management, expense reporting, and quarterly updates to the Board of Directors.

Represent TMS at community meetings and events, advocating for youth development and organizational initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Health, Kinesiology, Communication, or equivalent experience in youth or community development.

Proven experience in managing youth programs with a focus on kindergarten through 12th-grade students.

Strong project management skills, including curriculum development, data collection, and program implementation.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with flexibility, adaptability, and strong teamwork skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, QuickBooks, and Adobe Editor.

Excellent communication skills for donor relations, team collaboration, and community engagement.

Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed for events and activities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with emerging or start-up organizations.

Demonstrated success in grant writing and reporting to funders.

Familiarity with Montessori education principles and restorative justice practices.

Track record of implementing successful community engagement and family events.
