**Job Overview:**
Frances Moore Lappé is seeking a part-time, paid writing partner to work closely with her in conceptualizing and writing a book on democracy. It both shocks and inspires, focusing on awakening Americans to how low our democracy ranks worldwide on numerous measures while a shining a light on motivating lessons from leading democracies.
In this role, you would work closely with Frances throughout the writing process. In particular, she is looking for someone with popular writing experience, who has the experience of digesting research and statistics to tell the story in creative, inspiring, and accessible prose.
Work would be in-person in Small Planet Institute’s Cambridge office, located in the heart of Harvard Square a block away from Harvard T (Red Line). Candidates should be local, or able to commute to the Cambridge office whenever needed. Option for hybrid work negotiable.

Salary and Benefits:
- Negotiable pay, based on experience.
- Part-time position; flexible hours.
- Possibility for hybrid work, to be negotiated directly with Frances.
- The chance to work alongside a bestselling author on her latest work.
