Position:
Please do not apply if you are not a Registered Behavior Technician or at minimum about to test for the certification.
This case is for an early childhood client who is 2.8 years old. We are looking for a high-quality and experienced RBT. The pay is competitive at $25 an hour. The sessions will be from 1-3:30 pm M-F.
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will be managed and supervised by an experienced BCBA as you implement life-changing care directly in the child's home. You will work directly with clients, helping them learn new skills and reach key developmental milestones.
What You'll Do:
- Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically autism, to implement behavior support plans
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to individuals in various settings, such as homes, schools, or community settings
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors
- Collect and record data on individual progress and behavior using designated data collection methods
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including behavior analysts and therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and assessments to identify individual needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
What You Bring:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, is preferred
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel between different work locations
-Must pass a background check, MVR, OIG, and Federal/State required healthcare sanctioned checks
-TB test and proof of other health screenings/immunization is required
Physical Requirements:
-Mindful and attentive to the safety of the client and surroundings
-Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
-Behavior therapy activities may require playing and interacting with clients on the floor
-Activities may involve walking, running, long periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, bending and lifting 50 pounds
