Automotive Service Technician
Well established classic car retailer seeking a professionally trained mechanic with strong background in mechanical restoration of older vehicle technology. Our company is expanding rapidly and we are looking to hire an automotive technician to join our team. We offer a fully climate-controlled shop setting, standard work hours, friendly work environment with a tenured staff, and a 26-year history in the classic/collector car market.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
· Candidates should be ready to work with an accomplished service team, prepared to immediately fulfill investigatory inspections of vehicles, provide diagnosis recommendations of repair or improvement, and then physically carry out repairs once approved.
· Provide proper tools to commence repairs will be the responsibility of applicants to provide.
· Skill set to include domestic American vehicles along with an emphasis on import European vehicle knowledge. Product familiarity preferred to include, but not limited to, Austin Healey, Aston Martin, vintage Ford & Chevrolet, Rolls-Royce & Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche, MG, BMW, Jaguar, Triumph, among others.
· Carburetor rebuilding, braking systems, and electrical expertise very important.
· We have an onsite service manager to authorize & coordinate repairs, as well as initiate parts acquisition.
Automotive Technician Requirements:
· 3- 5 Years of automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required
· Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
· Reliable transportation with clean driving record & valid drivers license
· Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
· Ability to use the diagnostic equipment
· Test the functionality of parts and systems
· Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience
· Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
· Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task
· Works well with a team environment
· Preferred applicants should be drug-free
· May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs
