Role Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the driving force behind our business development efforts in southern Wisconsin and Illinois. You will manage large and complex accounts, explore new territories, and develop new business opportunities. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and growing our market presence, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within your assigned region or industry. This includes acquiring new customers and introducing new part numbers within existing business.
- Customer Engagement: Meet face-to-face with purchasing and engineering contacts and provide virtual support as needed to address project and customer requirements.
- Opportunity Management: Manage engineered opportunities in collaboration with customers and suppliers. Follow up on quotations and opportunities, ensuring successful closure.
- Profit Growth: Maintain and grow gross profit dollars through strategic sales activities and customer engagement.
- RMA Handling: Address Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Work with inside sales to resolve slow-moving inventory and review LOI reports and bonded components.
- Product Training: Participate in ongoing product training to stay updated on the latest offerings and industry trends.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key rep firms within your assigned territory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in a technical or engineering-related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently, including international travel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
