BrightStar Care has expanded into the Kansas City metro area and we are looking for an ambitious Home Care Sales and Business Development Manager! Their sister company, BrightStar Care Overland Park/Olathe, has been a highly sought-after skilled and non-skilled home care and medical staffing company with a focus on the Johnson County area since 2015. With a large market in the Lee's Summit area, we are excited to continue our efforts and serve a new population.
This role presents a unique opportunity to be a part of an organization from the inception! The role offers a base salary and a competitive commission package. The Home Care Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for developing a new territory through making connections at networking events, hospitals, rehabs, assisted living communities, skilled communities, etc. in an effort to become the preferred provider in the market. The Sales and Business Development Manager will do this by maintaining and establishing new contacts that will develop into sales leads. They will have a strong presence in the community and actively promote the BrightStar brand. The Sales Manager will be equally effective in engaging referral sources to refer prospective clients to us, meeting with families in the living room to "convert" them to a customer and closing the cycle with the referral source by thanking them for the referral. The Sales Manager will initially work closely with our Sales Manager for the North Kansas City territory. She has been with our agency from it's inception and has excelled at generating leads, converting inquires to clients, building relationships and seeking out new business opportunities. She excels at following the BrightStar model and is excited to pass along her knowledge and experience to a new Sales Manager! The Sales Manager will have a desk within the office located in Olathe, KS but will spend 95% of their time in the Lee's Summit community maintaining and developing relationships with contacts.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct in person visits to healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics and eldercare facilities in order to generate sales for private duty home care and medical staffing contracts
- Meet or exceed established sales targets established by manager
- Develop marketing plan for assigned territory
- Join and attend area networking and chamber groups
- Seek, develop and participate in marketing opportunities in the community
- Establish working rapport with health care professionals in the territory
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to generate leads, manage a sales territory, maintain and build relationships with new and existing contacts
- A minimum of one year experience in the home healthcare industry, preferred
- Experience with public speaking (in addition to presentation skills). Strong at persuasive and educational writing and speaking
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and problem solving
- Must be comfortable with closing/asking for business
- Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community
- Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance
