Maintenance Lead
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining the overall effectiveness of production equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on the plant floor. Other duties include assisting with material handling, operating production the production line, and plant housekeeping. The position will fill in for the Plant Manager to operate the plant when necessary. This position is ideally suited for someone that wants work hours- this role serves a critical function and must be willing to put in the hours to keep production running. Average work week during busy season is 55 hours/week.
Job Functions
Performs preventive maintenance and daily production line maintenance on all production equipment in addition to performing daily production and material handling tasks throughout the entire production line (from receiving raw material to loading finished product onto trailers).
Inspects and identifies equipment in need of repair.
Utilizes manuals and on-line research to determine necessary equipment repairs.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repair and maintenance.
Maintains and operates production equipment.
Performs daily product testing and production checks.
Ensures all paperwork is completed correctly and accurately. Maintains accurate inventory records and provides counts and other record-keeping functions as needed.
Fills in other warehouse functions as needed and assists with daily shut down of production, including daily production line maintenance.
Uses Forklift to move raw materials and finished goods around the plant and on/off semi-trailers.
Keeps warehouse neat and organized; assists with trailer cleaning as needed.
Acts as back-up for Plant Manager for PTO or other OOTO situations.

Qualifications/Experience/Education
--5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
--1-2 year’s forklift and skid steer experience preferred.
--High School degree or equivalent.
--Must complete criminal background check and 4-panel drug screen.
--Comfort with basic math.
