EVS/Facilities Associate Job Description
The EVS/Facilities Associate cleans and maintains our buildings at 1211 Chestnut Street, 1207 Chestnut Street, Broad Street Ministries, and 1233 Locust Street. They ensure a functional, clean, and sanitized environment for all. Responsibilities align with Philadelphia FIGHT's Core Values, policies, and civil laws, ensuring efficient resource use and mission support.
Qualifications: The EVS/Facilities Associate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of Environmental Services/Housekeeping experience. Ability to handle heavy equipment and operate tools, and knowledge of chemical cleaning and supplies is needed. The EVS/Facilities Associate will also have integrity and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with diverse, underserved, and/or stigmatized populations.
Responsibilities include:

Clean and supply designated areas
- Perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
- Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Assist with maintenance tasks
- Promote sanitary conditions
- Use PPE and follow infection control precautions
- Prepare cleaning solutions per standards
- Clean equipment and maintain floor stock
- Remove trash and replace bags
- Properly dispose of infectious waste
- Report device failures and turn in equipment for inspections and repairs
- Ensure patient/employee safety
- Adapt to changing duties
- Communicate professionally
- Report on time and maintain a professional appearance
- Assist team members and orient new staff
- Help with staffing schedules and EVS assignments
Physical demands:

Moderate noise level (e.g., office with computers, printers, light traffic, vacuum)
Other: Initial probationary period is three months. Performance of other tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Salary range: Competitive; Hourly
Travel Requirements: Minimal local travel required between Philadelphia FIGHT Health Centers.
Work Hours: 40 Hours/Week (M-F 9:00am - 5:00pm, flexibility to work weekends and holidays required)
