Transformation Wellness Center is looking for a full-time Counselor in Training CIT)) to join our team of dedicated employees.

Transformations Wellness Center is a drug free workplace and uses a random drug screen monitoring program for all employees.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of two years’ experience working in a substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting or; completion of a SUD Certificate program or; an equivalent combination of both experience and education.
· New hires must apply for State certification within one month of employment and receive the credential/license within 24 months of the application.
· The individual must also demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication skills and adherence to organizational policy and procedures.
Expectations/Requirements, The CIT will work with the Clinical Supervisor to develop a work plan that includes learning and becoming proficient in the following skills:
1. Complete SUD assessments, provide a SUD diagnosis and use the ASAM criteria to justify the appropriate level of care.
2. Develop individualized service and support plan (ISSP) and provide evidenced based SUD treatment services.
3. Provide treatment in group and individual settings in accordance with the ISSP. The CIT will learn and utilize group-counseling skills, as well as develop two specialized groups.
4. Maintain file documentation in a timely manner demonstrating the ability to record individual encounters and sessions in accordance with the ISSP and per Oregon Administrate Rule (OAR) requirements.
5. Demonstrated the ability to develop after care planning, referral and community networking for target population.
6. Demonstrate a positive working relationship with peers, staff and community partners. Demonstrate the ability to work closely with referral sources, keeping them informed of the progress of the individual as needed. Stay in compliance with confidentiality and Health and Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 42 CFR part 2 requirements.
7. Eventually manage a full resident caseload as determined by agency requirements and OAR’s.
8. Participate in individual and group supervision a minimum of once every week.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Individuals recovering SUD’s must have maintained continuous abstinence for the immediate past two years at the time of hire.
Tools and Equipment Used:
Must be able to operate usual office equipment such a fax, telephone, and photocopy machine as well as drive vehicles in accordance with Transformations’ Safe Driving Policy. Must have, attain and/or maintain CPR and First Aid Certification. Must have, attain and/or maintain a Food Handlers License.
