As our new Special Education Teacher, you will:

Create and implement personalized education plans that celebrate each student's strengths and address their challenges

Supervision of Assistant Teachers and Classroom Aides/Childcare Workers in daily classroom functioning and in weekly supervision meetings.

Foster an inclusive classroom where diversity is valued and every student feels empowered to learn

Work closely with a team of educators, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each child

Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to engage students and enhance learning outcomes

Maintain and increase his/her effectiveness in behavior management and communicating with other professional staff through the use of training, supervision, and consultation

Degree and current certification in Special Education-Moderate Special Needs

Evidence of sensitivity and respect for client’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics
Teacher Requirements:

High school Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree preferred

CPR/FA Certificated
-
EEC Certification required
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Previous professional teaching experience preferred.

Ability to work with children as individuals and in groups, and to work with adults, both parents and staff.
