ADVANCE PRACTICE CLINICIAN (NP or PA)

Responsibilities:
We seek Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.
The ideal candidates have a passion for care of underserved populations. This position focuses on reproductive healthcare, which includes making time-sensitive care-plan decisions, expanding our clinic’s system for triaging patient communication and results follow-up, and working collaboratively with the nursing and provider teams to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
The individual in this position must be comfortable providing care in-person. The APP will work in partnership with a diverse interdisciplinary care team to:
- Provide primary and preventative care including cancer screening testing, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections, and perform other types of more specialized procedures as indicated.
- Provide LGBTQIA+ wellness services including gender affirming care; hormone therapy, monitoring, and post-op care (experience preferred but not required).
- Provide HIV/AIDS care (experience preferred but not required).
- Assess health status and diagnose acute and chronic health conditions and diseases.
- Develop a treatment plan, perform, and interpret diagnostic and screening tests.
- Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Clinical management of hormonal contraception.
- Health teaching and counseling regarding maintenance of health, family planning and preparation for children
- IUD insertion and removal
- Nexplanon insertion and removal
- Clinical management of medical emergency situations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four or more years’ experience in a similar role.
- Willingness to become credentialed to perform gender-affirming and HIV+/AIDS care.
- NP applicants must possess an Advanced Practice Nursing Degree from an accredited College or University.
- PA Applicants must be a graduate of a PA Program accredited by the ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.) or its predecessor and must be certified or be eligible for certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Applicants must have or be eligible to obtain an Oklahoma Medical License, BLS/ACLS
- Fluency with EHR
