We are an Outpatient Surgical Center looking for either Full Time or Part Time employees to join our team. This is the ideal setting - Monday - Friday, our hours are 6:00 am - 8:00 pm, with typical shifts starting at 7 a.m. (8 hour scheduled shifts with late stay assigned on a rotation basis).
Part time is 2 days one week and 3 days the next week or 3 and 3 whichever works better for you and your family. Full Time is 4 days a week. Remember no case Fridays gives everyone in the OR the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month off. NO mandatory overtime or call. Great team to work with.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for getting room set up for the procedure.
· Responsible for position patient and confirming with the patient their information.
· Ensure monitors are ready and assist the Anesthesiologist as needed.
· Assist surgical team in maintaining integrity of the sterile field and monitor equipment, surgical team and patient throughout the procedure.
· Assist Surgical Techs with table set up.
· Ability to circulate for multiple specialties.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing.
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
· Current certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS).
· ACLS Certification for medical professionals within six months of employment.
· Two years experience working in an outpatient surgical setting preferred.
· Requires extensive mobility (walking and standing).
· Frequent lifting and bending, pushing and/or pulling loads.
· Ability to lift up to a 60 pound weight load.
