Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment community. The Apartment Manager will be responsible for managing tenant relations, leasing activities, maintenance coordination, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of residents.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of leasing, including marketing vacant units, conducting property tours, and screening potential tenants
- Negotiate and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including inspections and security deposit refunds
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to property standards
- Oversee rent collection and ensure timely payment processing
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, tenant interactions, and financial transactions
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as needed
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues
- Implement and enforce property policies and procedures to maintain a positive living environment for residents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in real estate administrative or legal administrative roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of leasing procedures, contracts, and fair housing regulations
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, vendors, and team members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Experience in facilities management is desirable
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program is a plus
