Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our team. This role involves managing tax compliance and advisory services for our diverse clientele of business owners nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax planning, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping businesses thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax compliance and consulting engagements for a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and small to mid-sized businesses.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and enhance business valuation.
- Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations.
- Provide expert advice on complex tax issues and transactions, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impacts to clients and team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and proactive advice.
- Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Assist in business development activities, including client presentations and proposal development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Ultra Tax software [Thomson Reuters] and Microsoft Office Suite.
