POSITION SUMMARY
Terminal Manager is responsible for assisting department managers with employee supervision and workflow in maintenance, operations, and safety at a specific terminal location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Manage, direct, and lead the day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure that company standards as well as Federal, State and Local regulations are met.
· Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, efficiencies, and facilities are in line with the company’s plan and vision.
· Collaborate with Human Resources to interview, hire, discipline and terminate employees of terminal location; assuring all paperwork is processed according to proper company guidelines with appropriate levels of follow up with management on timely task completion.
· Supervise, evaluates, motivates, disciplines, hires, and terminates employees of terminal location.
· Counsel drivers on safety/compliance concernsor serve as in person witness for phone calls.
· Contact the operations department regarding serious problems with the trucks or trailers to alert them that the equipment will be out of service beyond operations expectation.
· Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline terminal processes and use of resources and materials.
· Ensure that training and development of employees is ongoing.
· Monitor supply inventory, products and addresses questionable materials (i.e. matching product with work orders).
· Resolve shop problems with trucks, technicians, and drivers in a professional and respectful manner.
· Maintain current knowledge of technology used in truck and trailer repair shops.
· Inspects completed work to certify that the shop meets company and DOT standards.
· Ensures that shop employees comply with all company policies and procedures.
· Ensures the shop is in compliance with all OSHA regulations.
· Obtain outside repair estimates for building maintenance and reach out to vendors to ensure best pricing is being received.
· Promptly answer phone calls, emails, voicemails and other questions from co-workers and drivers.
· Develop relationships with drivers to ensure better performance and encourage driver retention.
· Responsible for overall cost performance of the terminal; monitoring terminal expenses and revenue.
· Act as a company representative before local agencies.
· Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
