Valley Spring Recovery - Primary Therapist
At Valley Spring Recovery Center, we are focused to improve the lives of individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health. Valley Spring Recovery Center provides outpatient treatment program in partial care, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. Client needs are assessed at intake and monitored throughout the process to determine the appropriate level of care.

Position Requirements:
Clinicians will provide professional care that meet clients where they are at and assist with guiding through the stages of change in recovery and building relapse prevention skills.
Responsible for comprehensive assessment, ongoing treatment planning, and assessing case management needs, ensuring that all of the clients’ needs are met in accordance with treatment services.
Facilitate individual, group and family therapy in accordance with NJ DOH regulations.
Providing professional and timely clinical documentation, maintaining EHR/EMR and clinical records to ensure they are in compliance with NJ DOH regulations.
Establish appropriate criteria to evaluate progress, and revises the plan as the client’s needs change while recognizes the client’s strengths and limitations.
Facilitating communication with clients’ support network, including family and friends to facilitate connective treatment participation.
Effectively communicates relevant clinical information to the Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, clinical and Valley Spring Recovery Center team.
Provide clinical services utilizing evidenced based treatment modalities.
Maintain appropriate boundaries, ethical standards, professionalism, and ethical behaviors with patients, families, and other professionals.
Maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with Title 42 CFR, Part 2 and HIPAA.
Strong attention to detail as well as strong organization skills.
Report to Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
- Preferred Current State of New Jersey Licenses - LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, or LMFT.
- If Dually Licensed in New York, we provide a differential.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Strong computer skills including experience with EHR/EMR systems.
Required experience:
- Substance Abuse: 1 year experience in an outpatient program, or an inpatient program addressing substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
- Masters degree from an accredited school in social work, behavioral sciences, counseling, or related human services.
- Comprehensive understanding of Disease of Addiction, Harm Reduction and the treatment of individuals with substance dependency and mental health issues;
- Demonstrates knowledge of the effects of addiction on the user and significant others; knowledge of the stages of drug use;
- Recognizes the behavior and attitudes of different stages of recovery;
- Demonstrates knowledge of the most commonly accepted models of recovery and relapse prevention, including 12-step programs and the multidisciplinary approach;
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work alongside clinical team;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline;
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds' with cultural humility.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
