Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the unit as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate well, think quickly in pressure situations, and motivate a work crew.
- Have a full understanding of the job responsibilities for all the positions under their direct supervision.
- Develop and maintain work schedules for all staff in assigned unit.
- Asist with the development of new makeup designs.
- Assist with inventories and orders as needed.
- Work within other departmental venues and units as the need arises.
- Develop procedures to make the unit run properly.
- Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific production in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
- Hold regular crew meetings to present park/departmental information and/or comments from Department Management.
- Monitor the performance of your team members.
- Provide coaching, counseling and disciplinary/commendable action as needed to maintain and improve the performance of the crew.
- Complete all departmental and park related paperwork.
- Maintain acceptable level of communication between crews and Senior Leadership.
- Work as a resource for crew members.
- Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
- Immediately report any unsafe acts to the Area Supervisor.
- Train new personnel as needed.
- Complete all projects as asked by the Area Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
- Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
- Must be able to stand/walk for the length of the shift.
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
