Job Summary
Currently seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician for Addison, TX area. Candidates should be eager and ready to go to work immediately with a passion for what you do! Additionally, you must have your own set of basic tools. Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks with strong experience for HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and/or general building/facility maintenance projects. Boiler experience and job longevity a plus. Will also be responsible for emergency after hour calls. Minimum four years of prior maintenance assistant experience with HVAC and be EPA Certified. Preferably, more experience due to age of property.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for helping to maintain the entire property in an attractive comfortable condition and assist in trash pickup on the property each morning with the rest of the maintenance staff,
- Assist in all types of maintenance, when necessary and as requested.
- Assist in completing the make-readies of vacant units, as requested.
- Assist with resident maintenance service requests, as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
- Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving customer problems.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management in a support capacity, act as first point of contact for internal team members and external visitors to the Company, and answer questions related to department operating policies.
- Ability to complete all duties regarding service requests and make-readies for vacant units.
- Ability to service appliances.
- Ability to perform general plumbing and basic electrical needs of the property including replacing/fixing toilets, light switches, garbage disposals, ceiling fans, etc.
- Re-key locks.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to replace burned out light bulbs, broken globes, etc. in units and throughout the exterior of the property as needed.
- Ability to perform corrective maintenance and satisfy resident's needs following company procedures when performing service requests.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
